22 Electric Buses for Jaworzno

22 electric buses were picked up and put into permanent use in the city of Jaworzno. Full technical facilities along with infrastructure ensuring charging of vehicle batteries have been provided. The central bus charging and maintenance station is the first facility of this type in Poland.

Why was the project undertaken?

The natural development of the communication industry - from "ecological" and technical obsolete vehicles towards environmentally friendly buses, which are modern and full of amenities for travelers (including people with mobility difficulties).

What has been achieved?

22 electric buses (9 x 18m, 9 x 12m, 4 x approx. 9m) were picked up and put into permanent use. Full technical facilities along with infrastructure ensuring charging of vehicle batteries have been provided. The central bus charging and maintenance station is the first facility of this type in Poland.

Who uses/benefits from the effects of the project?

Passengers (which is obvious), but also residents of Jaworzno living by bus terminals, who will no longer be exposed to noise resulting from almost twenty-four-hour operation of diesel engines.
